Clarence Keltner, 91, of Columbia, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at Signature Health Care at Summit Manor in Columbia.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1925 in Wapello, Iowa, and was the son of the late Job and Grace Hardman Keltner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wynema Yarberry Keltner on Sept. 20, 2003; and by two brothers, Harlan and Don Keltner.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a farmer in Iowa and southern Illinois before retiring and moving to Kentucky.

He is survived by two brothers, Carl Keltner of Florida and Job Keltner and his wife Tish of Iowa; three sisters, Dorothy Webb, Maxine Cornick and Joelle Pogemiller, all of Iowa; three step daughters, Sharon Pickett McKinney of Scottsville, Teresa Henson of Louisville and Pat Pickett Wheeler of Mt. Washington; and by a special cousin and caregiver, Cozetta Legg and her husband Todd of Columbia.

Several other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Funeral service was Monday, Oct. 17 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. William Davenport officiating with burial in Columbia Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be in the form of a donation to Trinity United Methodist Church or to Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery. These may be left at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Danny Downey, Brad Hatcher, Derek Legg, Bradley Hayes, Mike Hatcher, Blake Hatcher and JaCody Downey.

Honorary casket bearers were Danny Hatcher, Ken Hatcher, Donnie Curry, Joe Miller, Buck Taylor, Ronnie Sneed and Gregg Willis.
