Irene Gilvin Peters, 87, of Clarksville, Ind., passed away on Feb. 12, 2017 at Riverview Village in Clarksville.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1929 in Adair County to the late Davis and Gladys Scott Keltner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gilvin; one son, Stanley Gilvin; two brothers, Lenus and William Keltner; and two sisters, Esther Brock and Myrtle Richard.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and a seamstress.
She is survived by one daughter, Juanita Goble of Columbia; four grandchildren, Donald Goble of Columbia; Angela Goble of Meade County, Richard Goble of Louisville and Cynthia Highland of Louisville; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Weldon Keltner of Columbia and Jody Keltner of Campbellsville; and one sister, Josephine Rigney of LaGrange.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Nathaniel Roemer officiating and burial in Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Terry Keltner, Barney Janes, Tom Brock, Ralph Brock, Richard Goble and Rick Osborne.
