Marilyn May, 67, of Campbellsville, formerly of Columbia, passed away Friday July 29, 2016 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
She was born Jan. 26, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Wesley and Velma Carman Harrison.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert May; one son, Scott May; one brother, Jim Harrison; and one sister, Elizabeth Harrison.
Mrs. May is survived by one son, Greg and his wife Karen May of Russell County; two daughters, Leslie May of Columbia and Carolee and husband Mark Courtwright of Campbellsville; two brothers, Ron Harrison of Scottsville and Mike Harrison of London; one sister, Ruth Ann Burton of Campbellsville; and nine grandchildren as well as several other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was a licensed practical nurse, working at Adair Memorial Hospital, Westlake Regional Hospital and for Dr. A.G. Herrera. She was a member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and attended Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Aug. 3 at Columbia First Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Dwayne Lobb and Bro. Ron Harrison officiating with interment in the Columbia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Greg May, Alex Thomas, Wesley Thomas, John Courtwright, Timmy Mills, Mark Courtwright, Tim Mills, and Chelsey May. Honorary Pallbearers were Chasity May, Brittany May, Kelby Barnett, Joseph Burton, Isaac Courtwright, Todd Ooms, Hailey Burton, and Sara Courtwright.
