Nora I. Patton, 80, of Campbellsville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 in Huntington, W.V.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1931 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late W.O. Garrett and Elsie Lewellen Garrett of Adair County.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Herman Patton on April 27, 1953. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers, Stella Wethington, Mary Pendleton, Dollie Pierce, Earl Garrett, James Garrett and Roscoe Garrett.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Gary Patton and his wife Mabel of Huntington, W.V.; one granddaughter and one grandson, Monica Howell and her husband James of Teays Valley, W.V. and Kyle Patton and his wife Jeni of Proctorville, Ohio; four great grandchildren, James Logan Howell, Lucal Howell and Addison Howell of Teays Valley, W.V. and Colton Patton of Proctorville, Ohio; and one brother, Eli Garrett of Cincinnati, Ohio.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Robinson Creek Baptist Church in Campbellsville with Dr. Paul Patton and Rev. Jim Collison officiating with burial in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Casey County.

Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of funeral arrangements.
