Donald E. Campbell, 81, of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Summit Manor Health and Rehab Center.

He was born on Dec. 19, 1930 in Adair County and was the son of the late Gordie and Mable Rowe Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Audra Brown Campbell of Columbia; one son and his wife, Steve and Rita Campbell of Columbia; one grandson and his wife, Brent and Shannon Campbell; two great-granddaughters, Kaylee Shay and Allee Beth Campbell; one brother and his wife, Rudy and Mary Enna Campbell of Columbia.

He was also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Campbell was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. He was an auto-body repairman, an avid hunter and loved gardening and making sorghum molasses.

Funeral service was held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Elmore and Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating with interment in Antioch Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Campbell, Tommy Campbell, Billy Rowe, Kenzie Rowe, Barry Smith and Michael Bardin.

Honorary pallbearers were William Butler, Melvin Antle, Jimmy Dixon, David Thomas, Danny Myers, Tommy Edwards, David Lawhorn, Henry Sandusky, Dennis Yates and Ray Thomas.

Memorials are suggested to Gideon Bibles or Antioch Cemetery and may be made at the funeral home.
