OBIT: Jimmy Neat, 61

Jimmy Neat, 61, of Dunnville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29 in Casey County.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1951 in Adair County and was the son of the late Quinton Neat and Elizabeth Elnor Blackburn Neat of Dunnville, who survive.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Vickie Payne Neat of Dunnville; two daughters, Dana Hagy and her fiance, Shane Patterson of Columbia and Jessica Overby and her husband Randy of Jamestown; three sisters, Jewell Brown and her husband Gordon of Columbia, Betty Warren and her husband Benny of Dunnville and Marilyn Gabehart and her husband R.C. of Knifley; and by five grandchildren, Briana Hagy, Brandon Hagy, David Dial, Amber Overby and Nathan Overby.

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Ray Neat in 1952 and by one sister, Brenda Sue Neat in 1942.

He was a member of New Hope Separate Baptist Church, had worked at Tarter Gate Company, was a farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Funeral service was Saturday, March 3 at New Hope Separate Bapstist Church with Bro. David Coffey officiating with interment in New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shane Patterson, Murrell Overstreet, Mark Richardson, Greg Warren, Dalton Richerdson and Marcus Richardson.

Honorary pallbearers were David Dial and Brandon Hagy.
