OBIT: Lucille Stephens Harrell, 89

Lucille Stephens Harrell, 89, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at Bowling Green Medical Center after a sudden illness.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1923 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Rollin and Pearl Sharp Stephens and was the widow of Herbert E. Harrell, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 21, 1993.

Mrs. Harrell is survived by one son, Herby Harrell of Columbia; one daughter, Becky Jones and her husband Robbie of Glasgow; one granddaughter, Rebecca Hales and her husband Derek of Bowling Green; one grandson, A.J. Parsons and his fiancé Tammi DeMumbrum of Edmonton; one great grandson, Zack Parsons of Glasgow; and by one sister, Thomasine Thomas and her husband Robert of Springfield, Tenn.

A host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by one sister, Lurline Fox and by one brother, Rollin W. Stephens.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, a homemaker and was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Funeral service was Sunday, Feb. 26 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Durrett and Bro. William Karnes officiating with interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gary Curry, Jimmie Dale Cox, Ralph Curry, Eric Coomer, Jonathan Brockman and Josh Brockman.

Honorary pallbearer was Zack Parsons.
