Pairlee Montgomery, 100, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at Signature Health Care at Summit Manor.

She was born on June 17, 1916 in Adair County, and was the daughter of the late Bennie and Emma Hardwick Pendleton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Montgomery in July 1965; and by siblings, Tyler Pendleton, Omer Pendleton, Eula Brockman, Rena Weatherford, Dellie Burton and Lois Curry.

She is survived by one son, J.D. Montgomery and wife Jeanette of Columbia; three grandchildren, Terri Burris, Sherri (Ralph) Crawhorn, Robin Fletcher; five great grandchildren, Shawna Wolford, Tara Franklin, Christopher Fletcher, Jeromy Burris and Cameron Fletcher; seven great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Wilmer Pendleton of Harrodsburg, B.I. Pendleton of Greenwood, Ind. and Rollin Pendleton of Greenwood, Ind.

Mrs. Montgomery was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church and was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Shelley officiating and interment in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Shiloh Christian Church or the Shiloh Cemetery Fund and may be left at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Jeromy Burris, Cameron Fletcher, Christopher Fletcher, Mason Franklin, Jason Rector and Colin Wolford.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
