Roy Lee Meeks, 76, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at his home in Adair County.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1936 in Casey County and was the son of the late Robert C. and Delta Sallee Meeks.
He was retired from Tarter’s Lumber Industry and was a member of Athens Church of Christ.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie Mae Pendleton Meeks; four brothers, Ed (Beverly) Meeks of Dunnville, David (Janett) Meeks of Dunnville, Stanley (Jewell) Meeks of Liberty and Marvin Meeks of Dunnville; a special nephew, Shawn (Sovanna) Pendleton of Columbia; and by two special great neices, Kaylie Marie and Kylie Ann Pendleton.
A host of other family and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Hershel and Ernest Meeks and Matrie Pendleton.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Jan. 23 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. J.D. McDonald and Bro. Kenny Spaw officiating with burial in Old Antioch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
