BQCA Certification

A Beef Quality and Care Assurance certification class will be held on Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service.

The Kentucky BQCA program takes national BQA practices one step further to provide a holistic program for Kentucky producers by adding cattle handling and animal care components to the training models. Educational modules provide the best management practices for handling cattle and providing for their well-being, in addition to training on the core principles of BQA.

The cost of BQCA in-person training is $5. Producers also have an online option to complete the training online at www.kybeefnetwork.com
BQCA certification is required for all large animal investments made in CAIP. For more information, contact the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service at (270) 384-2317.
