Update: KSP Investigates Officer-Involved Shooting in two Counties

PARIS, Ky. (October 16, 2023) — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 6 in Dry Ridge has been requested by the Paris Police Department to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on October 15, 2023, at approximately 10:45 p.m. EST on North Middletown Road in Bourbon County. Investigators from Post 6 responded to the scene and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

A male subject was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

CATLETTSBURG, Ky. (October 16, 2023) — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been requested by the Boyd County Sheriff’s Office to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on October 15, 2023, at approximately 6:30 p.m. EST on Twin Fork Road in Boyd County. KSP CIRT responded to the scene and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

A male subject was transported to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

KSP has statewide jurisdiction and investigates officer-involved shootings throughout the Commonwealth as requested by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
