Reda Faye Rooks, 64, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs. She was born on March 9, 1959 in Adair County to the late Billy and Hazel McQueary Harmon.
Mrs. Rooks was a member of the Free Union Separate Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Roy Rooks of Columbia; a daughter, Kim Rooks Bryant (Jessie) of Columbia; three grandchildren, Dylan Godsey (Brittney), C.J. Byrant and Emma Bryant; two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Colton Godsey; five siblings, Pam Doss (Richard) of Columbia, Lisa Morgan Graves of Greenbrier, Tenn., Lois Ferguson (Greg) of Georgetown, Gayla Hilliard (Charles) of Springsfield, Tenn., and Roger Harmon of Texas; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, J.C. and Glenna Rooks; a sister, Vickie Phelps; and a brother, Rodney Harmon.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 11, 2023 at Free Union Separate Baptist Church with Bro. Craig Huddleston officiating and burial in Free Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dylan Godsey, C.J. Bryant, Jason Doss, Ryan Doss, Jesse Graves and Brandon Bennett.
