Shawn Patrick Murphy, 43, of Jeffersontown passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Jefferson Manor Rehab and Wellness Center. He was born in Louisville on September 13, 1980to Kenneth Murphy of Jeffersontown and the late Rebecca Faye Burton Murphy.
Mr. Murphy attended the Highview Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his father, Kenneth Murphy; a sister, Amanda Robbins (Ben) of Louisville; two nephews, Maddox and Aaron Robbins; aunts and uncles, James “Bo” Murphy (Pam), Dorothy Coomer, Linda Lewis (Carson), Charles Murphy, Archie Burton (Phyllis) and Larry Burton (Julie) all of Columbia; and several cousins, friends and other relatives.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edwin Robertand Stella Mae Wilson Murphy; maternal grandparents, Orby and Revone Burton; three aunts,Brenda Sue Loy, Marie Murphy and Lisa Burton; and an uncle, Donnie Burton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Antioch Cemetery.
Bro. Elbert Hadley officiated, and the pallbearers were B. J. Burton, Jason Sparks, Derrick Murphy, Andrew Murphy, D. J. Burt, Maddox Robbins and Ben Robbins.
