The Adair County High School Lake Cumberland Technical Center Satellite Campus is proud to announce that after less than one year in existence instructor Barney Taylor and his Welding Fabrication team have won the school’s first State Title at the Skills USA Completion that was held this past weekend in Louisville KY. The team who consist of Dusty Claiborne (Son of Kevin and Shamarie Claiborne), Josh Grant (Son of Andy Grant and Denise Grant), and Chad Scholl (Son of Brad and Lachana Scholl) not only won prizes for their first place win but each received $7000 dollars in scholarship money to the Kentucky Welding Institute. With this win they advance to the National Skills USA competition held in June.

Superintendent Reed’s reaction was “Tremendous!!!” and that sentiment is echoed throughout our district we could not be prouder of Mr. Taylor and his students. Keep up the great work! And the best of luck at National Skills USA.
