Adair County Chief Deputy Sheriff Justin Cross initiated a traffic stop on Tutt Street Monday morning at 8:22 a.m. on a 2001 GMC. There was suspicion of narcotics inside the vehicle being driven by Christopher Dickson, 21, of Columbia.

Columbia Police Officer Evan Burton assisted on the scene and deployed his K-9, Matt. Matt gave a positive indicator of narcotics in the vehicle. As a result of a search, 151 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located with a street value of more than $15,000.
Deputy Cross arrested Dickson on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
