The Adair County tennis team got their start on the court last week to open the season by traveling to Marion County on Wednesday and playing at home on Thursday against Bardstown.
Top girls player Marian Bogajo got her first singles win at Marion County by defeating her opponent 6-0 and 6-1 in straight sets. Also in doubles action, Bogajo and Alberta Bosela picked up the win 8-3 in an eight-game pro set.
Other participants in the match were Tara Pierce, Emily Farmer, Ashley Farmer and Desiree Kerekes.
On Thursday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex at Lindsey Wilson College, the Indians and Lady Indians tennis team battled with Bardstown.
Marian Bogajo and Alberta Bosela continued their winning streak in doubles action by defeating their opponents 8-0 in another eight-game pro set. Ashley Farmer and Katelyn Moore also won 8-5.
According to Coach Randy Rexroat there were no singles winners for the match for the Adair County squad.
Other participants in the match were Emily Farmer and Rebecca Montgomery.
The tennis team will be back in action after having spring break off from competitions by traveling to Cumberland County on Monday and Ft. Knox on Tuesday before returning back on Thursday to play Thomas Nelson at home.
