Columbia Police Officers responded to a residence on Guthrie Street Sunday afternoon after neighbors called in a domestic related altercation that had occurred outside.
Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim bleeding profusely from his head and called for Adair County EMS after placing a female into custody.
Natasha Stotts, 35, of Columbia was placed into custody and charged with assault 2nd degree, a class C felony.
Officer Ethen Pike was the arresting officer and was assisted on scene by Officer Evan Burton and Adair County EMS.
