Lady Indians 60
Warren Central 53
The Lady Indians finished the FNB Holiday Bash at South Warren with a 2-2 record after defeating Warren Central in their last matchup of the tournament. Adair County used a big second half to overcome the halftime deficit and pick up the victory.
“We played really well after a slow start,” Coach James Turner said. “Probably our best effort of the year and a great win to get us back over .500.”

Warren Central led 15-8 after the first quarter but the Lady Indians diminished that lead by the half and trailed by only two, 30-28.
Adair County outscored the Lady Dragons during the third and fourth quarters to help lead them to victory. The Lady Indians led 47-45 heading into the fourth and won the final quarter battle 13 to 8.
MaKayla Matthews scored 18 of her 23 points during the second and third quarters while Beth Owens led in the fourth with 8 points.
Matthews was 5 for 7 on three-point field goals during the contest that helped her to a team high 23 points and joining her in double figures was Owens with 20 for the game.
“These four games in three days against some really good teams have really helped us,” Coach Turner said. “Our effort was great and these games will make us better come tournament time.”
