An Adair woman is facing 20 years in jail for manufacturing meth after a jury found her guilty on Tuesday.
Mandy Bauer, 31, was found guilty of manufacturing meth and possession of drug paraphernalia by an Adair County Circuit Court jury.
In June 2011, the Adair County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint in the Gentry Mills community of Adair County. They had received a call that Thomas Price was using meth while at Bauer’s residence, according to Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss.
Moss said once they arrived at the residence, the couple gave deputies permission to search the home where they found several items used in making meth.
Moss, sheriff deputy Aaron Rainwater and Kentucky State Police Trooper Ryan Wolking were at the scene.
Price was also charged with manufacturing meth. Price pleaded guilty and received a 12-year sentence, Moss said.
The jury recommended a 20-year sentence. Bauer’s final sentencing is March 13.
