Alvin Wayne Burton, 41, of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18 in Indianapolis.
He was born on June 21, 1971 in Columbus, Ind.
Alvin is survived by his father, Murrell Burton and his wife Karen of Columbia; his mother, Sharon Kay Burton West and her husband Phillip of Columbus, Ind.; his wife, Jessica Dean Gortney Burton of Indiana; his daughter, Sarah Lynn Burton of Columbus, Ind.; four sons, Joshua and Joseph Burton, both of Edinburgh, Ind. and Isaiah and Daniel Burton, both of Columbus, Ind.; two half brothers, Andy Everroad of Columbus, Ind. and Eric Burton of Columbia; and by one half sister, Amy (Shawn) Mahoney of Jacksonville, Fla.
Alvin was a utilities construction worker and had served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Funeral service was Sunday, Dec. 22 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. John Blakey officiating with interment in Bear Wallow Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joshua Burton, Chris Coffey, Andy Everroad, Terry Ferris, T.J. Knox and Gabriel Schoettmer.
