Basketball fans driving to see the universities of Kentucky and Louisville play in the Sweet Sixteen in Indianapolis should be aware of road construction in Indiana.

Construction crews are going into overtime, rebuilding and rehabilitating portions of the Interstate 65 corridor near the Ohio River border at Louisville and between Uniontown (Exit 41) and Seymour (Exit 50). Construction crews are pulling back barrels and barricades this weekend to the greatest extent possible, but basketball fans should plan extra time where speed limits are reduced, according to a Indiana Department of Transportation news release.

In addition, the U.S. 421 Ohio River bridge between Madison, Ind., and Milton, Ky., is closed for construction. Alternate routes include the Locks and Dam Bridge near Markland, Ind., or interstate bridges in the Cincinnati area.
