On Saturday, Jan. 4 at 1:04 p.m., Adair County Sheriff Deputy Chandler Staten and Sheriff Josh Brockman were dispatched to an injury collision vehicle involving a rock wall nine miles west of Columbia on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.

Thu J. Musick, 26, of Nashville was operating a 2008 Honda east bound on the parkway when she came into a brief sleet storm that covered the roadway in ice.

She lost control of her vehicle and struck a rock wall off the right hand shoulder of the roadway.

Musick was not injured in the collision, but her passenger, Nadia Omar, 22, of Nashville sustained injuries and was treated by Adair County EMS and transported to TJ Health Columbia.

During this time, there were three additional collisions called in for a total of four accidents in a 1/4 mile stretch of roadway.

The other collisions were non injury and all collisions were investigated by the Sheriff’s office.

Responding agencies were Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Adair EMS and Columbia-Adair County Fire.
