Brooks Coomer, 95, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, April 20, 2018 at 12:58 P.M. at the University Hospital in Louisville.
He was born February 24, 1923, in Adair County, to the late Cager and Sally Yarberry Coomer. Mr. Coomer was a member of Sparksville Baptist Church, serving in a number of roles and positions, a US Army Veteran of World War II, a Life Member of V.F.W. Post 6097 and a retired educator in Adair County after 35 years. He will be remembered best as Principal of Adair County High School from 1957-1969.

Visitation after 4:30 P.M. Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after 12 Noon Tuesday at the church
