Milk provides 16 essential nutrients so it’s great for young and old alike.
In fact, a glass of milk contains three of the four nutrients that USDA deems under-consumed by most Americans—calcium, vitamin D and potassium.
For children, even if you can’t get them to sit still long enough to eat you know they are providing their body some healthy nutrition with a bottle or cup of milk.
To celebrate June Dairy Month, the Adair County Community Voice is sponsoring a “Catch Your Children Drinking Milk” contest.
Just send us a photo of your child(ren) drinking milk. Be creative and have fun! Photos will be accepted through Monday, June 3. Selected photos may be published throughout the contest and the winner of the contest will be announced in the June 13 issue.
The winner of the contest will win $50 in toys from Day and Day Feed and Pet. Two second place winners will each receive $20 in toys from Day and Day Feed and Pet.
CONTEST RULES
By participating in the contest you are indicating that the photo is an original and you have all necessary rights (including consent of the photographer and subject of photo) to authorize publication.
By participating in the contest the entrant is giving Farmland Publications, Inc. and Adair County Community Voice license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use the entry.
Winners will be selected by a group of judges chosen by the Community Voice staff. Employees of Farmland Publication and their immediate families may submit photos but are not eligible to win prizes.
All decisions of Farmland Publications are final and the sponsor reserves the right to cancel or alter the contest as needed.
Photos can be emailed to [email protected], with a subject line “Drinking Milk Contest.”
Submissions should include the name of the person submitting the photo, the name and age of subject(s) in photo and any details you wish to provide about the photo (optional). Please provide a telephone number for verification purposes only.
