Extension District Board to meet March 30
There will be a Extension District Board meeting on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 5:30 pm CT. This will be an in-person meeting; however, there will be a zoom option if necessary for anyone.

The Southern Heirs Quartet will sing Feb. 28
The Southern Heirs Quartet will be Singing at Temple Hill Community, located at the corner of Helms Landing road and Temple Hill Church Road in Jamestown on Sunday, Feb. 28. Service starts at 10 a.m. cst with singing and Bro. Phillip Miller bringing the message. Everyone is welcome.

School Board Meeting Rescheduled to Monday
The Regular Monthly School Board Meeting will be postponed to Monday, February 22, 2021 due to uncertain weather conditions.
There will be a working session beginning at 5:15 PM Monday evening prior to the Special Called Board Meeting and doors will open to the public at 5:45 PM with the Special Called Meeting starting at 6 PM. The meeting will be open to the public with social distancing guidelines in place.

City Council to hold special called meeting Feb. 1
Planning and Zoning Board will have a meeting Feb. 11 at City Hall
Please be advised the City of Columbia Planning and Zoning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, February 11 at 6:10 p.m. in City Hall.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the following:
- Request for zone change from R1 (Low Density Residential) to C2 Highway Oriented Commercial for a lot located at 614 Fairground Street (PVA Map No. 000-04-06-001.00). The purpose is to be able to explore development and sale options. Property owned by Easton Bryant.
The hearing is open to the public.

DEMENTIA CONVERSATIONS
A webinar will offer tips on how to have honest and caring conversations with family members about: deciding when to stop driving, going to the doctor, making legal and financial decisions and reducing stress by building a strong care team.

Library announces re-opening hours
Monday, Jan. 25, 2021:
The Adair County Public Library will re-open to in person visits beginning Feb. 1. Hours will be 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Services offered will be book browsing and check out, copy, fax and computer use. We ask that you limit your visits to 30 minutes or less.
We will also continue to offer curbside services

Fiscal Court Meeting Moved to Blair Center
Public Comments, Possible Action on Tax Part of Agenda
The Adair County Fiscal Court meeting has been moved to the Jim Blair Recreation Center, 901 Hudson St., Columbia.
The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26.
Members of the court have been discussing a need to increase revenue and could possibly vote on a first reading to add an insurance premium tax or occupational tax. The meeting is being held at the Blair Center to allow members of the community to attend, hear comments about the county’s financial situation, and to make comments. “Revenue options discussion with possible action and public comments” is a topic on the agenda.
The meeting will be held following social distancing guidelines but will be open to the public. It will also be available online on the Adair County Fiscal Court Facebook page.
