Chris Grant, 38, of Columbia, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the University of Louisville Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident on June 6 in Taylor County.
He was born May 26, 1979 in Adair County.
He was a mechanic, artist, potter, heavy equipment operator and carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lawrence “Dick” Grant; maternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Belle Burbridge; and a half brother, Stewart Randal Grant, Jr.
He was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Paula Burbridge Grant of Columbia; twin sons, Case Lane Grant and Colton Remington Grant of Columbia; one sister, Ashley Dawn Grant of Columbia; one half-sister, Amy Grant Whitaker of Somerset; paternal grandmother, Rachel Grant of Columbia; two nieces and one nephew, Jayla, Jolie and Jaxon Galarza; two aunts, Sissy (Tilford) Loy and Beverly England; three uncles, Odell Tabor and David Lynn Grant, Tildford (Rita) Hoover; and the mother of his sons, Keisha Downey.
Several other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside service was Friday, June 16 at McClister Cemetery at Fairplay with Terry Smith officiating and burial following.
Casket bearers were Nathaniel Grant, Pat Jones, Kevin Kessler, Eddie Kessler, Michael Compton and P.J. Burris.
