Jonathan Dickson, 25, of Columbia, was arrested March 3 for multiple felony warrants and additional drug charges.

Around midnight on Wednesday, March 3, Adair County Sheriff’s Deputy Derek Padgett and chief deputy Justin Cross received information that Dickson was hiding at a location off Lether Burton Road, nine miles east of Columbia.

Dickson was a person of interest as he was wanted on several felony warrants, including a state parole board warrant revoking his parole, and drug charges. In addition, the sheriff’s department had signed a felony warrant for his arrest stemming from a high-speed chase just weeks earlier. Ultimately the pursuit was terminated do to unsafe road conditions and public safety.

Upon arrival at the location, Padgett and Cross were able to locate Dickson hiding in a garage. He was taken into custody and, during the search, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located.

Dickson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, first degree; possession of drug paraphernalia, three outstanding felony warrants for his arrest, and a warrant with the state parole board.
