Columbia Police Department investigating a home intrusion in the limits of Columbia.

On Sept. 24 around 8:40 p.m CPD officers and Adair County deputy’s responded to the 600 block of Tutt Street to a call from a female stating someone was in her house.
Upon arrival it was found that just after the resident had went to bed a unknown person or persons forced their way into the home taking a purse and other items from the house.
The purse was found in the yard but a undisclosed amount of cash was took. The resident was unharmed. Police are asking if anyone seen anybody walking or suspicious in the area around 8:00 p.m Tuesday night 09-24-2013 to call Columbia Police Department at 270-384-4119 or your nearest Law Enforcement Agency.
Officer Josh Brockman is continuing the investigation.
