Last Friday while on patrol, Columbia Police Officer Charles Greer located a male subject on Fairground Street who appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
Upon stop and investigation, 46-year-old James Polston of Columbia was charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree and prescription controlled substance not in original container. He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

Last Friday Columbia Police officer Drew Conn received a call of an intoxicated male in the area of Walmart.
Upon arrival Conn located 28-year-old Barry Burton of Liberty. Burton was arrested and lodged in Adair County Regional Jail on possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, and public intoxication.
On Monday while investigating a report of counterfeit money Columbia Police Sgt. Tracy McCarol located and arrested 41-year-old Deborah Mann on charges of 8 counts of possession of forged Instrument 1st degree (counterfeit money), possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
