COOPERATIVE EXTENSION PROVIDES SERVICES DURING CLOSURE

As of March 20, the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service has been closed to visitors and staff are working remotely.  No in-person educational programs are being held at this time.  However, services are still available to clientele.

Here’s how you can still get your soil tested, submit cost-share receipts, and get your questions answered on agriculture related topics.

Soil Testing:  Soil test samples are still being accepted and are still free until April 15th.  After April 15th, soil samples will be $6 per sample.  The free soil testing period is being sponsored by the Adair County Soil Conservation District. Soil samples may be left at the front door of the Extension Office in the blue tub placed near the front door.  Instructions are listed on the lid.  Samples will be gathered and processed daily during the work week.  Results can be expected in about two weeks.

Cost Share:  All individuals who were funded in the fall of 2019 through CAIP and youth cost-share participants have been sent letters with special directions on how to submit receipts and documents for reimbursements.  If you are funded and have not received a letter, please contact myself at 270-634-1105 or Teresa Bright at 270-250-5215.

Questions and other services:  For general agriculture questions, weed and other pest identification, and other services contact me by cell phone at 270-634-1105.  Feel free to call or text.  You may also email me at[email protected]

Programs such as pesticide training, educational programming for cost-share programs, and beef quality assurance trainings are still available at this time via online routes.

Please like and follow the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service Facebook page and the Adair County Cattlemen’s Association Facebook page for updates on programming.

You may continue to call the Adair County Extension Office phone number at 270-384-2317 and any messages will be automatically forwarded to the proper person.
