Delbert Moss, 77, of the Morris Chapel community of Adair County, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, after a brief illness.

He was born on May 4, 1940 in the Morris Chapel community of Adair County and was the son of the late Enos and Myrtie Ozella Coomer Moss. He was also preceded in death by his step mother, Vody Burris Moss, and by two infant brothers, Harold Moss and Dottie Moss.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ester Taylor Moss of Columbia; two sons, Timothy Moss and his wife Lisa of Columbia and Rodney Moss of Edmonton; one sister, Ernestine Bennett of Edmonton; three grandchildren, Andrea LaShaye Shelton, Joshua Moss and Sarah Moss; and by one great grandchild, Karson Riley Habhab.

Mr. Moss was a member of the Morris Chapel Community Church and worked for Greensburg Manufacturing for 39 years. He was also a farmer.

Funeral service was Friday, May 12 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Coffey and Bro. Jeff Sparks officiating with interment in the Moss Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rex Bennett, Kevin Harvey, Bradley Hayes, Derek Legg, Todd Legg and Larry Reliford.

Honorary pallbearers were Walton Bennett, Donnie Bragg, Ronnie Bragg, Alfred Keltner, Charles Keltner, Millard Keltner, Simpson Keltner, Johnny Wilson and Jonathan Vaughn.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
