Dixie Cash and Carry Suffers Serious Fire Damage

Alan and Beth VanArsdale could do nothing but watch as firefighters worked Friday night to control a blaze inside Dixie Cash and Carry. Firefighters were called around 8:20 p.m. when a passerby saw flames shooting through the roof of the longstanding building supply store, located at 2266 Greensburg Rd.

Firefighters were still on the scene at the time of this report at 10:43 p.m.

Many readers may remember that Alan and Beth’s youngest daughter, Heather, was in a serious automobile accident in October 2012 and doctors said she would remain in a coma if she survived. Heather beat the odds and the family has given God all the credit for her success.

Since Heather’s accident, we have come to know the VanArdsales and have admired their strength and faith in God. We ask our praying friends to lift up the VanArdsale family during this time. Pray for strength for them and ask God to turn this tragedy around and bring blessing after blessing to this family.

Thank you
