Eight members of the Lindsey Wilson men’s swimming team are headed to the 59th Annual NAIA Men’s Swimming & Diving National Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Josh Lykins, Jonas Muller, Iker Larzabal, Ryan Leamy, Jose Prado de Lima, Gage Setzer, Zachary Patzer and Tolga Dogruyol will represent the Blue Raiders at the championships.
Lindsey Wilson looks to top their 12th place finish at last season’s competition.
Patzer leads the group with eight total events including the 50, 100 and 200 yard freestyle and all five relay events. Prado de Lima also races in eight events, including the 200 yard individual medley, 100 yard backstroke, 1,650 yard freestyle and all five relays.
Lykins competes in seven events; the 100 and 200 yard butterfly, 200 yard freestyle, both medley relays and the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relays.
Larzabal competes in six events, Setzer in five, Muller in four, Leamy in two and Dogruyol in one.
Prado de Lima has had the fastest individual time this season for Lindsey Wilson clocking in at 16:46.18 in the mile event as the 14th fastest individual in the NAIA.
The relay team of Patzer, Setzer, Prado de Lima and Larzabal add a top-10 time as the 10th fastest in the NAIA in the 800 yard freestyle relay. Setzer and Muller both add top-20 individual times, Setzer in the 200 yard backstroke and Muller in the 100 yard breaststroke.
The Blue Raiders have also posted top-15 NAIA times in the remaining four relay events.
