Everett Wheeler, 84, of Columbia, died Monday, May 15, 2017 at Signature East Healthcare in Louisville. He was born on July 19, 1932 in Utica and was the son of the late Parrish and Mary Simmons Wheeler. He was a commercial well driller for Moody’s of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio for years, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Alice Bernard Wheeler of Columbia; one son, Tim Wheeler of Columbia; one daughter, Patti (Nick) Koller of Louisville; two grandchildren, T.J. Wheeler and Hannah Koller; one brother, Charles Wheeler of Gary, Ind.; and two sisters, Carolyn Wheeler Cooke of Louisville and Lucille Helton of Owensboro. Several other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral service was Thursday, May 18 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shelton and Bro. Troy Long officiating with burial in Beulah Chapel Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ed Darnell, Mark Harris, Larry Dudley, Robert Flowers, T.J. Wheeler, Nick Koller, Todd Green and Allen Green.
