A corner building on the Public Square is now owned by Lindsey Wilson College.
The building, located on the corner of Jamestown Street, is adjacent to First and Farmers National Bank. The bank purchased the property through a Master Commissioner’s Sale last year and signed over the deed to the college on Dec. 23.
Duane Bonifer, director of public relations for Lindsey Wilson College, said the college has not made a final decision on how it will use the facility.
“We’re exploring various options and ideas about how to best utilize the building so that it serves our students, strengthens our academic programs and benefits Columbia and Adair County,” Bonifer said. “We expect to make an announcement about the building’s future later this year.”
