A Lindsey Wilson College freshman won the 15th-annual “Lindsey Wilson Idol” Thursday night at V.P. Henry Auditorium. Gabrielle Brotzman of Louisville, Ky., won the singing competition, which included six LWC students in the event’s final round. Freshman Logan Adams of Somerset, Ky., placed second, and junior Abby Keller of Westport, Ky., finished third. The top three contestants were selected based on a combination of scoring by a four-judge panel and student voting. The three-day singing event — sponsored by the LWC Student Government Association — began Monday night with 19 LWC students, who competed for $400 in prize money. The second round featured 10 contestants who competed on Tuesday night, who were then culled to the final six. The other three finalists were Emmalee Baker of Columbia, Court Mace of Florence, Ky., and Abbey Warren of Columbia.
