Gail Ann Murphy, 56, of Columbia, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at T. J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow.
She was born August 12, 1963, in Adair County and preceded in death by her father, David Eugene “Big Boy” Burris, her mother, Cora Lillian McQueary Shepherd, her Adoptive Parents, Jess & Lucille Richards and a sister, Stella Grider.

Her husband – Clurel “Doc” Murphy of Columbia
One son – Edwin “Tommy” Richards of Columbia
Two daughters – Amanda (Randall) Sneed & Linda Ann (Jeremy) Grider all of Columbia
Three brothers – Dewayne Shepherd of Oldham County, Doug Barrett of Cynthiana and James Burris of Columbia
Three sisters – Norvelia “Kaye” Barrett of Columbia, Faye Shepherd of Bardstown, Georgie Manning of Arizona
Three grandchildren – Andrew & Natalie Sneed, Harley Grider
