Gary Rooks

Gary Wayne ‘Frog’ Rooks, 59, of Columbia, Ky, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 at 3:15 a.m. at TJ Health Columbia.

He was born July 26, 1963, in Adair County to the late Joe and Nancy Luttrell Rooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Huston Rooks, and a sister, Faylene Padila.

Frog was a self-employed mechanic and auto-body man, and recently accepted Jesus as his Savior.

Survivors include:

His wife – -Nioki Loy Rooks of Columbia

Two brothers – Johnny Rooks of Milltown and Donald Rooks of Seymour, Ind.

Three sisters – Mitzi (Billy) Burton, Betty Burton and Jean Arnett, all of Columbia

One sister-in-law – naomi Kerr of Glens Fork

One brother-in-law – Autry (Joyce) Loy of Columbia

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn McInteer officiating.

Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers are Patrick Loy, Ethen Pelly, Autry Loy, Cotton Smith, Zach Gilbert and Kenny Burton.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
