Geneva Bledsoe, 81, of Greensburg, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Signature Health Care at Summit Manor.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1936 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Welby and Lettie Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great grandchild. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, where she retired after 31 years of service.

She is survived by one son, John David Bledsoe of Russell Springs; four daughters, Cathy and Larry Turner of Fairplay, Barbara and Jimmy Bunch of Columbia, Karen Bledsoe and Tammy and David Bryant, all of Greensburg; and by one brother, Bobby (Iva Dean) Collins of Glensfork.

Eight grandchildren, one step grandchild, 16 great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, six step great-great grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, two great nieces, two great nephews and two great-great nephews also survive.

Funeral service was Wednesday, May 10 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Bunch and Bro. Dewayne Lobb officiating with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be in the form of a donation of Gideon Bibles. These may be left at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Darren Turner, Brian Turner, Jeremy Bunch, Dalton Miller, Ronald Burton, Mark Flowers, Jason Matney and Adam Matney.
