George Calvin Walker, 52, of Knifley, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs. He was born on May 9, 1965 at Liberty and was the son of the late Ralph Clifton Walker and Esther Leora Perkins Tucker of Knifley, who survives. Besides his mother, Esther Leora Perkins Tucker, he is survived by his step father, Danny Dale Tucker of Knifley; one brother, Clifton O’Neil Walker of Knifley; three sisters, Marcella Ann McDonald (Jr.) of Campbellsville; Michelle Denise Thompson (Barry) of Knifley and Tonya Sue Wood (Stephen) of Knifley; and by his nephews and niece, James Walker, John Walker, Andrea Pruyear, Jordan Wood and Jonathan Wood. Two great nephews and three great nieces, a host of other relatives and friends also survive. He was disabled. Funeral service was Saturday, June 3 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. James Walker and Bro. Jody Perkins officiating with interment in Robinson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jordan Wood, Jonathan Wood, John Walker, Roger Perkins, Chris Pruyear, Tom Pruyear and Joe Bryant. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
