Hazel Marie Ellis 92, of Columbia, KY died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Grandview Nursing Home in Campbellsville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Martha Warren Hunt and wife of the late Walker Lee Ellis.
Mrs. Ellis was a Member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends by cooking for them. She also enjoyed working puzzles and was a member of the Democratic Women’s Group.
Survivors include two children Daniel W. Ellis (Christoph) Louisville, KY; and Sheila Ellis Columbia, KY; granddaughter Paula Garrison (James) of Columbia, KY; great grandchildren Kayla Jones (Trent) Rochester, Minnesota and Clint Garrison of Columbia, KY;
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings Cleo Steele, Leonard Hunt, Russell Hunt, Virgil Hunt & Kenneth Hunt.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday after 10:00am at the funeral home.
