“PUBLIC NOTICE”
The Adair County Hospital District and the Adair County Public Hospital District Corporation Board of Directors will convene a concurrent Special Called meeting of the District and Corporation on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. EST on the second (2nd) floor of the United States District Court, 601 West Broadway, Room 240, Louisville, KY. 40202. There is no estimated time for adjournment. If attending, enter the building at sixth (6th) and Broadway. This is the only entrance accessible to the US District Court. One must show a photo ID. Cell phones and cameras are not allowed to be used in any courtroom. Proceed to the right to elevators or to steps that will take one to the second floor. There will be a Security Officer that will direct you to the appropriate meeting area.
The purpose of the Special Called meeting is to conduct mediation of the Chapter 9 Plan of Adjustment during Executive Session and, if necessary, approve any settlement reached during mediation in the open sessions of the Special Called meeting. It is possible that the Board may enter and exit executive session if multiple votes are required. The following Agenda is how the District and Corporation will conduct their sessions:
Adair County Hospital District Board of Directors
- Call to Order: The Board of Directors will open a concurrent Special Called meeting of the Adair County Hospital District and Adair County Public Hospital District Corporation at 9:00 a.m. EST order to properly conduct, discuss and act, if necessary, on the mediation of the Chapter 9 Plan of Adjustment. The Board will conduct negotiations during Executive sessions and will vote on any and all decisions during open sessions of the Special Called meeting.
- Executive Sessions: KRS 61.810(1)(C) – Discussions of proposed or pending litigation against or on behalf of the District regarding mediation of the Chapter 9 Plan of Adjustment.
- Public Sessions: voting on any decisions required for the negotiations.
- Adjournment at conclusion of negotiations.
The District and Public Corporation will make every effort to update the media on the Board’s decision(s), if any, on the day of the Special Called meeting. If the negotiations extend too late into the evening then a notice of the Board’s action(s) will be provided the next day. Your patience and understanding regarding the mediation process is greatly appreciated.
