Jack Bolin Morgan, 86, of Columbia, KY died Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at T. J. Health Columbia. Born in Adair County he was the son of the late Ples and Nancy Jane “Jenny” Grant Morgan.
Mr. Morgan was a member of the Haven Mission Church, a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Marine Corps and a music lover that played multiple instruments. He was known by many as the “lawnmower man” and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Glenda Page Morgan; eight children Jane Potts (Jeff), Lisa Thomas (Jeff), Donnetta Chrisman (Larry), Tammy Morgan, Michael Morgan (Betsy) and Jackie Morgan (Angie) all of Columbia, James Morgan (Wendy) of Radcliff, KY and Betty Hicks (Ricky) of Campbellsville, KY; 33 grandchildren and 75 great grandchildren; special friends Bobby Moore, Ricky Dial and Curtis Keith; special caregivers Chris & Patricia Doolin and Shantay Hunt; several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters Patricia Lynn Keith and Shelia Ann Clark; two brothers John Anderson Morgan and Henry Morgan and four sisters Lina Grant, Mary Lee Bradshaw, Catherine Powers and Melissa Lawhorn.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Columbia Cemetery; full Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Bro. Jim Williams will be officiating and pallbearers will be Brian Stovall, Vince Clemmons, Eric Chrisman, Jason Morgan, Johnathan Stovall, John Stovall, Tristan Thomas and Tyron Thomas.
