Jean Jones, 52, of Columbia, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Louisville. She was born on Dec. 24, 1964 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Sherman and Elizabeth “Gib” Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip “Jimmy” Curry and William “Billy” Curry. She was a member of New Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, LaToya Jones of Louisville; one son, Timothy Jones of Columbia; three grandchildren, Alivia, Travontae and Laekyn Jones; three brothers, Roderick and Mark Curry both of Columbia and Charles Curry of Louisville; one sister, Jada Jones of Bowling Green; and special siblings, Jane Walkup, Leeta Willis, Eyvonne, Keenan, Tony, Kathy and Vonda Bridgewater and Rhonda Jones. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral service was Saturday, June 10 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Pastor K.F. Tuck delivering the eulogy and burial in Jones Cemetery. Casket bearers were Frederick Ennis, Diontae Ennis, Ralphie Willis, Chad Hirst, Sean Pennington and Keenan Bridgewater.
