Joe Birdwell, 70, of Columbia, died Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway in Russell County.
He was born September 19, 1949 in Russell County to the late James Earl & Jessie Marie George Birdwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Phillip, David & James Birdwell, and one sister, Eva Garner. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, sold produce and enjoyed fishing.

One Daughter – Litisha Douglas of Glasgow
Three Sisters – Mattie Guffey of Jamestown, Mae Rexroat of Columbia & Susie Todd of Russell Springs
Eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren & one expectant great-grandchild
