Judy M. Johnson, 72, of the Cundiff community of Adair County, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born on April 30, 1944 in Pocohontas, Vir., and was the daughter of the late Bernard Armstrong and Ruth M. Royal.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David W. Johnson in 2014.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Hadley of Columbia; one son, Wayne Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn., three brothers, Bobby Armstrong, Tommy Armstrong and Jerry Armstrong; and by two sisters, Debbie Sundstrom and Brenda Altamirano.
Six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral service was Sunday, Feb. 19 at Mynatt Funeral Home in Knoxville, Tenn., with Bro. Tim Day officiating with burial in Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Lewayne Armstrong, William Longley, David Johnson III, Joseph Harrion and William Ware.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
