June Etta Cornell, 93, formerly of the Breeding Community, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at the Metcalfe Health Care Center.
She was born on April 24, 1923 in Carbondale, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Marshall Austin and Maude Frances Joslin Dart.
She was the widow of Lawrence Vernon Cornell who passed away on Sept. 7, 2008 and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Susan Shadle.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Cornell and his wife Melinda of Breeding and Larry Lyndon Cornell and his wife Gayle of Binghampton, N.Y.; one daughter, Bonnie Austina Budelman and her husband Fred of Durham, N.C.; and two brothers, Leon Austin Dart of Otego, N.Y. and Theodore Edwin Dart of Auburn, N.Y. Six grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
She was the oldest known member of the Methodist Church in Otego, N.Y. and a homemaker.
Mrs. Cornell had chosen cremation.
