Kendall Harvey, 82, of Columbia, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at his home after several months illness.

He was born on April 3, 1934 in Fairplay and was the son of the late Finis Albert and Ethel Mitchum Harvey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Bennett.

He is survived by his wife, Cecile Hill Harvey of Columbia; two sons, Terry Harvey and wife Susan of Columbia and Rick Harvey and wife Annette of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Linda Harvey Johnson of Columbia and Darla Burris and husband Donnie of Columbia; one brother, Phillip Harvey of Kingsport, Tenn.; one sister, Trilby Vance of Cane Valley; and a special care giver, Amanda Hadley. Thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.

Mr. Harvey was a faithful member of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene which he helped build. He was a carpenter, owning H&H Building Contractors for many years.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Feb. 14 at Columbia First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Rick Harvey and Bro. Tom Legg officiating with interment in the McClister Cemetery at Fairplay.

Pallbearers were Darren Adams, Steve Burton, Tim Ertel, Curt Hill, Ben Johnson and Steven Skaggs.
