The US Civil Corps Kickin’ Kids program from Columbia sent it’s first tournament team, Tegan Cole, Justin Walker, Trayton Stargel, Elizabeth Cook, and Briley Taylor, along with Assistant Instructor Steven Furkin And Instructor Jeff Coffey to the AAU Kung- Fu National ranked tournament this weekend at Phil Moore Park, In Bowling Green.

The team showed their talents and all of them brought home 1st – 3rd place medals and certificate’s from different divisions, including sparring and weapon demonstrations. The AAU National Tournament is the first stepping stone for the participation in the Jr. Olympics and so far, the tournament team is off to a great start.

Each child is now a national competitor and will be continuing to compete in future sanctioned events.

The instructors and children have been working hard with this program.

It is great to have a local program for kids of this caliber to be able to come and be involved in and be Nationally recognized. The Jim Blair Center is proud to be home of the USCC Kickin Kids Program.

For more information or to join the Kickin’ Kids martial arts/self-defense class, you can contact Charlie Crawhorn at 270-634-2246 or instructor Jeff Coffey at 270-634-3830.
