Clinton County fatal collision
Albany, Ky. (November 5, 2016) – Tpr. David Long is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday at approximately 10:10 AM CST 7 miles north of Albany on US 127. 65-year-old Wilma T. Melton was operating a northbound 2014 GMC Acadia when it left the shoulder of the roadway, struck an embankment, became airborne before striking a utility pole. Melton was transported to the Clinton County hospital where she was pronounced dead by the Clinton County Coroner. She was wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Long was assisted at the scene by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Dept, Fire and Rescue squad. An autopsy will be performed.
